Q.Has anyone ever heard of anyone who is allergic to Oatmeal? I know about Wheat but I cannot find anything about Oats.

A.I am highly allergic to oats, after years of working in the stables around horses (which I no longer do). I just stay away from anything made with oats, such as cereals and breads and cookies that contain oats and oat flower as thickeners My allergerist says Oats is a grain and that I should stay away from all grains since I tested positive to wheat products. I was really sick a month ago. I was eating alot of oats and soy. Stopped both and feel fine again.
